Today we get an inside look at the eggs benedict titled, “Alive” which is a delicious and hearty vegetarian option. Chef James Caples named the “Alive” after the song from Pearl Jam. The lead singer, Eddie Vedder, is a vegetarian, so this is James’ way of paying tribute to him. If you are looking for a great breakfast place with an even better vibe, this is the place to try!
Casa De Tamales: We are in the lovely Downtown Fresno again for this delicious episode of Fresno Flavor! Staying true to the traditional masa and fresh milled corn, Liz, the owner, adds a little spin to get some different flavor options. Chef Paul’s Cafe: We take a trip to the Chinatown District in Downtown Fresno for this episode of Fresno Flavor. Limon: This first ever episode of Fresno Flavor Jason takes on Limón. This Peruvian Fusion style restaurant is highlighted for their most popular dish, “Lomo Saltado”. This is a classic Peruvian dish which features marinated sirloin, sauteed with onions and tomatoes which tops off a plate of rice and french fries! Jason also gets to play “bartender” for a bit behind the bar and learns how to make a “Pisco Sour” which is the classic cocktail in Peru.
